PREPD is a two-part hydration system, consumed pre- and post-exercise, and is completely different to any other sports drink on the market. The unique resistant-starch in PREPD has been scientifically proven to promote fluid absorption in the large intestine, which has an untapped potential to absorb up to 6L of fluid per day. Despite being slightly sweet in flavour, the PREPD drinks are also low in sugar (hypotonic) for optimal fluid absorption in the small intestine. By also enhancing fluid absorption in the large intestine, PREPD is able to access an untapped potential for hydration in the body of up to 30%.

Recover Faster

PREPD Recover has an optimal blend of electrolytes and is hypotonic (low in sugar) to replenish fluid and salts lost through sweat faster than isotonic drinks. Recover also has lower levels of the same resistant starch found in Prime to top up the large intestine and continue enhancing fluid absorption for the following 24 hours of recovery.

PREPD Recover will launch in tropical and berry flavours in a 500ml ready-to-drink format and will be available for purchase online, in selected gyms and sports specialty stores from mid-2018. A holistic approach to hydration

Despite the impact of dehydration on performance being a well understood problem in sports science, the formulation of sports drinks haven’t advanced significantly in over 50 years. Commercially available isotonic sports drinks have two key shortcomings: 1) they have too much sugar for optimal hydration, which actually reduces fluid uptake in the small intestine, and 2) they completely ignore the hydration potential in the large intestine. PREPD Recover takes a holistic approach to hydration – it’s hypotonic formulation is optimal for hydration in the small intestine, while the resistant starch promotes fluid uptake in the large intestine.

How do I use: Recover?

Consume PREPD Recover immediately after intense exercise in conjunction with water and your other favourite post-exertion drinks. We recommend 1x 500ml serve of Recover after an hour of intense activity. For longer endurance events, you may consume 2x Recover drinks afterwards, however, we recommend consuming no more than 1x Prime and 2x Recover drinks within 24 hours.
